Following the recent acquisition of Palletline Distribution Ltd, Managing Director Bob Russett has announced a name change to Palletline Logistics (Midlands) Ltd with immediate effect, reflecting more accurately the changing focus of the company’s business.
Alongside the change of identity, Palletline Logistics is investing to update and expand its operational facilities and fleet, and also to implement sophisticated IT capabilities designed to provide enhanced levels of support for customers nationwide.
The acquisition and integration into the business of UK Trans-stor has turned the company into a multi-site operation. Palletline Logistics now handles complex logistics requirements for a range of international organisations including contracts for new customers Husqvarna, Broseley Fires and SEB, the name behind the Krups, Moulinex, Rowenta and Tefal household brands.
This sustained business growth prompted Palletline Logistics to acquire a further 2,500m2 of warehousing in December 2006, and increase its fleet of both artics and distribution vehicles. The company plans to expand both warehousing space and fleet even further during 2007.
“The name change means that our corporate identity now more correctly identifies the expanded scope of our operations,” says Russett. “We intend to maintain and build on established customer service levels, and the new identity supports our -
repositioning as an organisation offering a full spectrum of logistical requirements to industry and commerce nationwide.”
